Project description

Peak, as well as his little brother Keon, were the product of a unique collaboration between Geeksphone, Mozilla Foundation, and Telefonica. They were the first Firefox OS-powered phones to be released to the market worldwide and made available through carriers worldwide such as Movistar, VIVO, and Telenor.

The Peak was the highest-end smartphone in the Firefox OS co-designed with Mozilla and was sold worldwide a few hours after launch. It featured a qHD display, a dual-core 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S2 processor and 8MP/2MP dual cameras, complemented by 512MB of RAM and 4GB of expandable storage.

It was manufactured by Cellon, with unique end-to-end hardware design by Geeksphone. Full firmware integration and OS porting by Geeksphone. Packaging co-designed with Telefonica.
